The Lorenzo Natali Media Prize was launched in 1992 to honour courage in journalism.
LNP rewards the excellence of journalists reporting about the stories that matter on the topics of inequality, poverty eradication, sustainable development, environment, biodiversity, climate action, digital, jobs and employment, education and skills development, migration, healthcare, and peace, democracy and human rights.
The project is developed by DG INTPA, European Commission. The challenge was to get as much – high quality – applications as possible, engaging at the same time with the audience and past winners. The objective is to bring to light stories capable of leaving a mark within society. With this strategy, it is also intended to establish the award as one of the benchmark events on the subject and in the territory. This year we took a different approach when communicating about the prize. We left behind the pretty and happy stock pictures we have been using in the past and also producing massive amounts of visuals. We changed from a SPAM, to a high quality content strategy: Less is more. We used the strength of the material we already had on creating powerful content.
